This was a little top I made for myself before our trip to Ukraine. It was a quick and easy project and I am quite pleased how it turned out.
The top is not difficult to make. One thing that I might change is how the neckline is finished. It's finished with the bias tape, and for the life of me I cant get a sharp V. I think I will just make a facing next time. We will see.
Pattern: Burda 04/2015, #103. There is also a dress option. I believe there are actually two dress options. I think if you purchase the pattern through their website (here) you get all three options. I really like the dress, and want to make on. I will let you go how it goes. :)
Modifications: I made two modifications to the pattern. I added about two inches to the overall length, otherwise it's quite short. I am on a tall side, but usually don't need to make any length mods with Burda patterns. In this case it would have barely covered my belly button. I also raised the neckline. It is quite low, so low that you would expose yourself every time you bend down. Walking and sitting perfectly straight is not an option when you have children. I find the fit to be true to size.
I really like the subtle details that elevate the top from boring to way less boring. lol. There is a pleat at each shoulder. It's hard to see because of the fabric, but there are side panels, and the armhole is square at the bottom.

The Fabric is Art Gallery voile, Heartland by Pat Bravo. I had a remnant left form making this top for Ania. Too bad it's too small now, otherwise we could be twins. I wore the top a lot this summer, it's just so light and breezy.
This is so pretty! I love voile. The pleats at the shoulder are so nice - I love when a seemingly simple pattern has such nice details.
