I don't remember how I discovered Compagnie M. but I was instantly drawn to Marte's designs and her no-nonsense writing style. She also gives awesome free patterns on her blog. So when she was looking for pattern testers, I signed up right away. I simply fell in love with the shirt.
I let Ania choose the fabric, and this is what she pulled out. Wouldn't be my first choice, but there was no convincing her. This is what she wanted. I can't tell you where the fabric came from, I don't remember buying it. But I think it actually works well with the pattern - sweet and innocent. Just ignore the scary looking creature on her arm. :)
I love the details on the shirt - the pleats and the yoke are my favorite.
Check out the cool sleeves! Marte did an excellent job with written instructions and pictures. It came together quickly without any issues. It is probably for an intermediate sewist (Is it a word?), in other words I wouldn't make this your first sewing project. However, if you are comfortable sewing a pillow case, this might be a good way to challenge yourself. :)
Ania loves it, especially since she picked the fabric. It was starting to rain during the photo shoot, but as a true super model she persevered. :)
First of all WOW I can't believe how much older Ania suddenly looks?! And her curls awwwww. LOVE that top and yes that fabric totally works ;-)

Our sewing-paths run a bit similar, don't you think? Anyway, I love your version of the blouse here, the fabric is pure romance!
