Vintage Pillowcase Skirt Tutorial

I always loved embroidery  - the vibrant colors, the texture, the many hours spent creating something one of a kind. It is also a huge part of my Ukrainian heritage.
I came across two vintage embroidered pillowcases at the garage sale, they were only used as part of the décor so they were like new and only cost 50c. The pillow case skirt is a quick and easy project. It only took me 15 minutes from start to finish and I was taking pictures of the process.

Generally vintage pillowcases, especially white ones, are slightly see through. The skirt will be double layered to address the issue.
