Ruffle Top by Elephants and Elegance

I have been admiring Heidi's work at Elegance and Elephants for a while so I eagerly volunteered to be a pattern tester for her first pattern. It didn't disappoint.

The pattern pieces are clearly marked making it super easy to tape together. The instructions are clear with great pictures to follow along.

But I think what I most like about the pattern is its versatility. It can be made as a ruffle top, A-line dress or a swing dress that I made. Use fun polka dot fabric and you have a breezy summer top, girly print would make a perfect princess dress or cut your fanciest fabric for a special occasion number.

I used embroidered linen that a bought at the estate sale (I still have a few yards of it left) and I really like the result. She can wear it during summer months or teamed with sheepskin boots and a long sleeve top during winter.
