Pattern Testing for Straight Grain

I have been in love with bubble dresses for a while, so when An from Straight Grain needed a pattern tester for the new and improved bubble dress, I couldn't type fast enough. Pick me, pick me, please. And she did. :)  I am so in love with the pattern and the dress.

The fabric came from my stash. I bought it during my matroyshka phase when I put matroyshkas on everything and anything. I think I might still not be over that. I chose the fabric because the silhouette of the dress reminds me of matroyshka dolls. Don't you think? Maybe it just me. :)

The instructions are superb and very easy to follow. The pattern is easy to put together, since there are only a few pieces to work with. It is suitable for a beginner.

It also comes with an option of adding a peter pan collar.  I will totally use it next time.

I love the dress and so does Ania! Head over to Straight Grain and purchase the pattern, you won't regret it!

  12. Hi. I found you from Craftastic Monday/Sew Can Do. I love the Russian nesting doll fabric. It goes with the shape of the dress. Read my post on teaching your children to sew:
