The Bubble Shorts

How is your summer going? I think I might be living in complete denial, I just don't want it to end. Last winter was so brutal that I still haven't recovered. Unlike most people, I love hot weather. I also don't want to do any fall/winter sewing yet. Can't face the reality. :) Instead, I am making shorts, because if I make shorts, summer will stay forever. Right? I cut the shorts last summer, but never finished them. I can't handle the unfinished projects, super glad they are done.

They are the Bubble Pockets shorts by Elephants and Elegance. I thought that blowing bubbles for the photo shoot would be very fitting for the bubble shorts. I know, mind blowing creativity. :)

The shorts are made of super stretchy and soft fabric of unknown content. They are very comfortable to wear. Ania loves them.

The top is the Hanami Top and Dress by Straight Grain. I love An's patterns and hope she will have a new one soon. :)

That is the biggest smile in the world. I like this picture, even though it is not quite in focus. Sigh. It seems when you capture the perfect moment, there is always something wrong with the picture, it's either not in focus, wrong exposure or a random person/car in the background. Maybe it's just me. :)

Photo bomb! An adorable one too.

  1. What a gorgeous set the top and bubble shorts make!!! It's as if they were meant to be paired together - not just the colouring, but the style as well. I already have the bubble shorts pattern. Looks like I might need to purchase the hanami top as well.

  7. I really like these paired together- I loved the hanami top but my daughter was refusing to wear anything but knits as a top. Oh kids!
