Another Antalya

When I drafted the Antalya dress pattern, I made a lot of samples. A few I never finished, or never even intended to finish, but a few turned out pretty cute, so I thought I would share. There are so many stunning Antalyas sewn by super talented bloggers. These are just a few that come to mind - here, here, here, here, here and here. The pattern was released through Willow & Co and can be purchased here.

I kept sitting down to get the best shot of her, and she insisted on sitting down as well. LOL
The fabric came from my stash.  It's very feminine pretty floral that I got at a garage sale for $1.00. That's my kind of price. I added piping to the bodice and also to the neckline. I think it adds a nice pop of color and coordinates perfectly with the yellow flowers in the print. If you choose to add piping to the neckline, do it before the step for the back closure, then continue as directed in the instructions.

She wanted to go to the beach and play in the water. It's freezing, but I guess we are all tired of the cold weather and want summer to come. :) She is also glowing in the sun. I wanted to fix that, but then I liked  that she sort of looks like a golden statue. :)

The back has a button closure. I made it before going through my buttons, and then found three perfect buttons. Of course, I had only three. Sigh. I wanted to finish it, so on went pretty unspectacular white ones.

And the jumping shot to finish the post. The hair....

I would love if you follow me!

  8. I love the golden statue comparison. she does look a bit like that in that picture :) Lovely dress for the summer (when it finally comes)! I m impressed how different the dresses are, even though they are based on the same pattern. Lots of room for variation and creativity!
